WelcomeOffice of Service-Learning Course DatabaseThe Office of Service-Learning (OSL) maintains a database of Service-Learning courses taught at BGSU each semester. This database serves multiple purposes: - we report to the President, Provost, Deans, and Chairs on the work of service-learning faculty in each department; we complete external reports related to faculty work and student learning such as the annual Campus Compact survey, the President's Higher Education Honor Roll, the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching, and reporting for the Ohio Board of Regents; we provide information to students who are interested in taking a SL class; and, the database provides a resource for community partners who then have the option to register to be a potential partner in a BGSU class. Faculty are asked to report on their course every semester they teach using service-learning pedagogy. What do you do now? All faculty and staff members who teach a service-learning class need to create a login account to be able to enter a course profile. Click on create an account to initiate the process. Should you have any questions please contact us at the Office of Service-Learning (419 372 9287 or slbgsu@bgsu.edu) or check the Frequently Asked Questions section. |
